1933-1998 Lise Gervais taught at the École des Beaux-Arts de Montréal, the Université du Québec à Montréal (UQÀM) and Concordia University. In 1983 and 1984, she was Chair of the Conseil des Artistes-Peintres du Québec. Her artworks follow the Paul-Émile Borduas and Automatists' tradition. Lise Gervais's work is part of several collections namely at the National Gallery of Canada, Montreal Museum of Fine Arts, Musée d'art contemporain de Montréal, Albright-Knox Museum (Buffalo, N.Y.), Concordia University (Montreal), Queen's University (Kingston, Ontario)), Samuel Bronfman Collection (Montreal), Charles Delloye Collection (Paris, France), etc.
