Benoît Lévesque

Born in Quebec in 1964, Benoît Lévesque is an artist whose work is in constant evolution. Having begun in the visual arts in 1979, he explores different movements by developing a very personal pictorial approach ranging from Impressionism to Abstract Expressionism…

The first thing to notice in his paintings is the contribution of a poetic burst of light.
Benoît Lévesque creates invisible and abstract landscapes through the world of colour, where the evocation of forms emerges from the depths of the mind. The works, with their restrained lyricism, reveal the sequence in his colorist manner and help to live a direct experience without the artifices linked to the representation of a reality other than that of painting.” G.Fucito.

A graduate of Laval University in Plastic Arts (1988) and in Graphic Communication (1991), this accomplished artist has several solo exhibitions, performances in front of an audience, and numerous group exhibitions to his credit, including two in Japan, in Sakai and Kyoto. His works can be found in corporate and private collections. The Art & Style gallery has represented the artist for 25 years!
