Settled in Montreal since 1997, Karo Alexanian has become more and more successful with collectors who were attracted by his simple lines, geometric compositions and colours, sometimes soft, sometimes vibrant and bright. Karo does not capture detail. His shapes are strongly suggested but not elaborated because Karo focuses only on his own perception of reality, a reality he seeks to generalize and stylize by making symbols out of painted objects.
