Marie-Josée Latouche
Born in Beauport, Québec, in 1965, Marie-Josée Latouche started to draw at a very young age at the Musée des beaux-arts de Québec workshops. Then, life having led her to others paths, it is only recently that she has returned to her true passion: painting. A self-taught artist, she uses mixed mediums such as acrylics, patterned fabric, wallpaper, and scraping to create on wooden bases her beloved playful themes dominated by a contagious joie de vivre. For Marie-Josée Latouche, creating is "flying through a bunch of tulips, lazing around next to a pear, partying with an orchid...Suddenly finding oneself in the setting of a page in a children's book only for a moment."
