My desire to learn about animals, their way of life and the difficulties that they are faced with are all reasons that led to the production of these works. Animals from the beautiful province of Quebec are the stars of this series of paintings; they make up three-quarters of the canvas. Paint was applied using a spatula as opposed to a brush, and instead of adding texture. The large strokes of the blade create lines, stains and shapes of different colors that bring out the shape of the animals
